Review:"Wonder" Raquel J. Palacio

January 2, 2017

 Title: Wonder

Author: Raquel J. Palacio

Pages Count: 310

Summary: August (Auggie) Pullman was born with a facial deformity that prevented him from going to a mainstream school-until now. He’s about to enter fifth grade at Beecher Prep, and if you’ve ever been the new kid, then you know how hard that can be. The thing is Auggie’s just an ordinary kid, with an extraordinary face. But can he convince his new classmates that he’s just like them, despite appearances? R.J. Palacio has written a modern classic- a funny, uplifting, and incredibly moving novel to read in one sitting, pass on to others, and remember long after the final page.

Praise:

" In a wonder of a debut, Palacio has written a crackling page-turner filled with characters you can't help but root for."---- Entertainment Weekly

" Rich and memorable."----- The New York Times Book Review

Our Review:

4 Stars

This book gets four stars, yes I know I must love the book I do. The author of this book Raquel J. Palacio gives different perspectives of Auggie's facial disorders and how they reacted to it. Each chapter was something new and attention grabbing. The cover of the book presents Auggie's face and makes you curious. Every piece of this book was very well executed and performed.
