Review: Warriors: A Vision of Shadows #2: "Thunder and Shadow"

August 28, 2016

Summer 2016 feels like the era of new books, and Novi is pleased to present a new 'Just Released' book, Thunder and Shadow!

Just Released is going to be a phrase we use when the books from favorite series have continued! Like Warriors, and Thunder and Shadow.

Title: Thunder and Shadow

Author: Erin Hunter

Summary:

Erin Hunter’s #1 bestselling Warriors series continues in A Vision of Shadows #2: Thunder and Shadow.Includes a double-sided jacket with a bonus poster!

Nearly a moon has passed since Alderpaw returned from his journey to SkyClan’s gorge, where he found the territory taken over by rogues. Now the same vicious cats that drove out SkyClan have traced Alderpaw’s path back to the lake… and ShadowClan may be the next to fall.

Full of epic adventure and thrilling intrigue, this fifth Warriors series is the perfect introduction for readers new to the Warriors world—while for dedicated fans, it’s a long-awaited return to the era of Bramblestar’s ThunderClan, after the events of Omen of the Stars.

Others in the series: The Apprentice's Quest and Shattered Sky

Our Review:

Thunder and Shadow was overall a good book, but I can't help but feel that Erin Hunter is running out of ideas. A lot happened in one book, too much for my liking, and it felt rather repetitive, and some of the names I could tell it felt like we were running out of steam.

The Bottom Line: The books aren't as good as they used to be, but we have a little longer before we need to service our battery (Sorry, I love metaphors and similes).
